Sometimes it’s a fight I don’t want to fight anymore. I have recently joined this group because im at the end of my rope. I am 27, ive been told my chances to ever have a baby are slim to none (silly me for choosing to get an education first) and i just feel so tired and sick and weak all the time. My job is tolerant but it doesn't go unnoticed. i get sick easier, i have all the autoimmune symptoms, pain, and no one understands. My family actually yells at me because I complain too much and they sometimes don't believe me. I keep seeing other doctors hoping they will find something else that is treatable. But every time they say well that's endo and send me on my way. I want to strangle them (metaphorically of course) when they say that. I just want a cure. i want to feel normal again. i used to go and go and never let this disease get to me (i was diagnosed young) but in the last five years, its really getting to me. Its winning. Does anyone else feel like this?

Hi, I had to look up some info before trying to help you. I had to learn more about this disease does to people. You must be working with your doctor really close. I guess when you have exhausted the process that the doc wants you to do then you will have to make tough decisions in order to take the next step. I hope you can find some relief from your awful pain. Let me know what ever I can do to support you positively. Thanks.

babyblues,

I found out I had endo when I was 26 and still had other health issues to deal with. I would get sick very easily and for time would get 3 or more sinus infections a year. I saw various specialists and wanted answers. Finally I saw an allergy doctor and got tested. I found that I am allergic to just about everthing, including dogs & cats! I was so upset. For awhile I got allergy shots (1 in each arm) 2x a week. Now I go once a month but it has made such a difference in my life. I am not sure if this is a common issue with those of us with endo, but I have heard other people say that along with endo they have some kind of auto-immue problem. If nothing else is working for you you might think about talking to a few specilaists about the problems you are having, to try and get some answers. Its hard but try to stay positive!

Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.

Hi Babyblues,
I'm so sorry you feel that way. I've been feeling down and alone a lot recently. While I don't have autoimmune problems, I'm having problems with my bladder and eurethra which is related to endo. It's embarrassing and no one seems to understand! Maybe you could find a creative way to work through some of your feelings. I am creating a series of paintings about my experience with endo, and it is really helping me!

WOW babyblues... It sounds like you just spoke right from my experience too. very scary. glad to know i'm not the only one. you totally have my support cause I have bben there too, wanting to strangle drs (metiforacly) and crying every time i get my period cause it seems like a clock is ticking by till the chances of haveing a child are gone. you have my support. if you ever need to talk i'm here. and i'm gonna look into the auto immune connection to endo. cause i have been told before by other people and through my own research of my symptoms that they are probably some kind of auto immune problem. sending hugs your way babyblues
