how do i live with pain?

Posted in Group:

I am a 26 year old women, why should I have to feel like I'm helpless? My endo came back and I am in a lot of pain, all my family doctor wants to do is give me naproxen and that helps during my period but doesn't realy help my pain.
I can't seem to get anyone to believe me on how painful it is.... why?? I have proof of surgeries, and still after they finnally listeened to me to do mri and sonagrams they can see a large mass, they still won't help me. I don't do much of anything anymore and I also suffer from ptsd, depression, and more. It seems having endo and dealing with the pain makes me more depressed than I allready am.
Does anyone have any advice that can help with the pain? I'm already on the endo resolved diet, and my hairloss is still happeneing, I just need someone to believe me that it hurts and try to help me, damn doctors anyway. What's the point of being a dr if you won't help the people who need you?
I've even developed a new symptom, my stomach is upset all the time and I get sick a lot more than previously... idk why this started, I am under a little more stress now though. Does anyone else have this problem?

I found out I had endo when I was about your age. For a time my Dr put me on birth control pills continuously. Prior to this treatment I had 2 cysts removed from my ovaries and had the endo that was growing on my bladder & intestines removed. My painful periods (and pain in general from endo) improved after the surgery and my starting on the birth control pills. Your pain may be coming from the endo growing on your other organs. You may want to talk to your doctor and try and decide what treatment might help you. I'm 40 and I am still on the birth control pills, I now take them in the normal manner. I asked my Dr how long I can still take them and he said that he has some patients on them up to 50 years of age.

Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.
